I've been looking for a small, sub-compact 9mm. Been kicking around the idea of the Kel-Tec PF9 or a Kahr CW9. I was at my local dealer today to see the PF9 that he got yesterday but it was already sold and the buyer traded in his like-new CZ Rami-P 9mm. Came with the box and two mags (10 round and longer 14 round) and appears to be in excellent condition. Paid $350 and it comes with some kind of night sights.

How'd I do? I didn't research the gun a whole lot like I usually do. Just felt good in my hand, pointed well, I know CZ has an excellent reputation, so I grabbed it.

Are the Rami's decent? Mine is the new Rami-P polymer framed and lighter slide...any good? Any problems? Any ammo I should stay away from (besides Wolf steel cased and possibly Blazer aluminum cased).

That's the gun I want to carry when I get my CHL. I've heard good things, but for the price I'd say you really did well.

I recently bought a CZ P01. If the Rami is as good as P01, (and I bet it is) your gonna love it. Good price too !

Good feel, points naturally, very reputable manufacturer, and a size/weight/caliber you were already looking for. A good price in the condition you describe and with the full box/accesories/paper work on top of that - you did really well.

K,

I once had a CZ RAMI in 9mm. I sold it - I wish I had it back. VERY accurate for a short barrel gun. But all CZ's seem to be really accurate. I think the price was good.

Good Luck,

Did great. :)

I had a RAMI. I sold it and bought a P-01 just the other day. CZ's are good stuff.
My RAMI was much more fun to shoot than my friends Kahr. But he could carry his pocket.

Not even Summer yet, and people are buying up the RAMIs!

MY RAMI dislikes any hyper-velocity +P+ ammo like the PowRball or other hot loads. Never any problem with the 124 gr. +P Gold Dots that it is stoked with.

More holsters have become available for the RAMIs. I demand a thumbreak if at all possible on my carry holsters, so I'm often limited in my selection.

This one from K&D is serving well.

Good deal, I would have got on that. I usually research my purchases as much as possible too. CZ's I would buy without knowing much about them, they just look like a well built gun(nice function/finish).

I've been looking for this particular one, http://www.cz-usa.com/product_detail.php?id=48
It's nice that it comes with the sa/da selectable option and I like all the safety features. I think I'm most drawn to CZ because of the way the slide is seated in the frame. It must be cool to watch one cycle.
I've never heard much about CZ before joining the high road. I think after what I've read here I definately want one.

Hey CZF that's a nice holster. How is the crossdraw, do you use it much?

I just bought a CZ Rami in 9mm and it has been very reliable. You got a good price on that gun. You also got lucky in getting the 9mm and not the .40. The .40 has had problems.

You can also install a Pearce magazine extension for a XD. You have to modify it to fit but it will give your pincky a place to rest without making the grip too long and harder to conceal. CZforum.com has all the information on it. Also, a Glock 26 holster fits the Rami well.

The Little Rami is a fantastic CCW option. Good choice! The more people learn how good these CZ's really are, the more and more they are going go up to SIG price levels.
My P-01 is still a favorite. Was just out shooting it earlier today with my wife... she ran me dry on all my 9MM ammo! While it might be a favorite, sometimes it is just a bit too big for CCW work. For that, a RAMI will have to be added to the collection.
