Would you carry an XD as a duty weapon?

Given the popularity of the SA-XD series of pistols, would you consider carrying the XD as a duty weapon? Consider customer support, quality of product, and other possible weapon choices. I love my XD 45 Tactical. I would carry mine if I was allowed to. The only problem I have with it is the apparent lack of support for the pistol (ie. lack of armorer classes, and after market accessories and parts). So, what do you guys think? Would you carry and XD? Why or why not?

Nope. Still feels like a brick to me, due to the grips. Only plastic-framed guns I've thought were comfy were the M&P and Px4, but I prefer steel--between the other two, I dunno what I'd pick.

I carry my Service model XD .40 on duty with me.

XD Approval

Kind of a side note: I am just curious if any of you know of any of the major Police departments that have approved the XD for service. I don't own an XD but I have been very impressed with them and like the way they feel and all the features. I think I heard that the XD was approved by the Denver PD. Any others?

I'm more of a Glock guy, but I wouldn't have a problem carrying the XD. It actually fits my hand better.
