Would you/do you ever carry a Glock in your pocket?

I have carried my 27 in my pocket (cond. 3) when in a jam, it's way too heavy and bulky though to do it everyday. I would not even consider carrying in pocket with one in the pipe.

+1

I do not have a pocket holster for a glock and no way would I recommend carrying one with a round in the chamber without a good, ridged pocket holster.

While the trigger pull weight of a glock may be similar to a DA revolver the length of pull is much shorter. IMHO that makes it to easy to discharge a snagged unprotected trigger.

Im not a Glock guy, Im an HK guy. That being said, I find it funny that everyone brings up this subject on Glocks, but never on HK. We have the LEM that trigger has no safety at all other than keeping your finger and all other objects out of the trigger. Yes you have to pull the trigger for a bit before a round will fire, but there is not trigger safety either.

If someone wouldnt carry a Glock because they are afraid they couldnt keep their finger or other objects out of the trigger guard, the Glock isnt the problem, the user is the problem.

BTW, I carry my HK in a pocket holster in my front pocket quite a bit of the time, its simple the holster covers the trigger guard up to the grip and nothing else goes in that pocket.

On another note, my wife doubted this method of carry too until I emptied my pistol, cleared it and put it back in my holster laid the gun in the holster on the table and let her try to manipulate the trigger from outside of the holster with her finger, keys, etc...and guess what...nothing happened other than her giving up.

I carry a 26 in the front pocket of my cargo style shorts with a Don Hume pocket holster a lot. Not as light as my Kel Tec 380 but I like the added fire power if ever needed.

I won't carry a Glock 26/27 in my pocket because it is too heavy and blocky for pocket carry. I prefer carrying my S&W J frame (442) in my pocket.

Is it the popularity, the quality, the reliability, or the price that makes Glocks so unpopular with the people posting this thread?

Just reading through some of the comments made regarding Glocks, I have to laugh. If they are such pieces of junk, why do so many people use them on a regular basis without problems? I'm not saying they are the best thing since sliced bread, but I don't get the hostility that this particular gun brings out in people. I guess you either love them or hate them.

As to the original question, I always carry mine loaded in a proper holster of some kind. I wouldn't really care if it was a Glock or some other gun, I think it is just common gun safety to have the firearm correctly holstered or carried.

I would see no additional issues other than those with regular pocket carry. I prefer a pocket holster over just a pocket. But to each their own.

Too big, too heavy. Tried it, wanted to make it work, but much like the Para Warthog I also wanted to love, it's far better in concept than in reality.

In my experience, "double-stack" and "pocket carry pistol" are mutually exclusive.
