Would you make this trade? My ruger sr9c for a Colt Trooper 357 with a 6 inch barrel?

What should I ask in trade for these?

4" .357 Trooper Mk-III (well used but not abused)
6" .22 LR Trooper Mk-III (Absolutely pristine)

The .357 belonged to a cattle rancher here in Oklahoma,,,
He carried it in a shoulder holster for the better part of 15 years.

The .22 I purchased through GunBroker three years ago,,,
It's definitely been fired but it still looks brand new,,,
I used it on several bunny hunts at a friends farm.

They are great guns and I take pride in ownership,,,
But I have other revolvers I enjoy shooting,,,
I'm in no hurry but I would part with them.

Pancake, he did.

Aarond, if you want some feedback on your question, you'd be more likely to get some traffic on it if it were a separate thread.

those are some nice looking revolvers.

-My Uncle had a 4" barreled, Trooper Mk III when I was growing up. He may have bought it new around '72 or '73. I could never get him to see the way of gifting it to me...

Yes, mine was made in 1975. Took it shooting today with some ammo i reloaded. Was SUPER accurate at 10 yards where i was shooting it. Was using 9mm lead loaded to 38 special velocities too. Very nice shooter.

I have a HI STANDARD SENTINEL MkIII ANYONE KNOW THE VALUE? I can't find hardly any info on it all I know is that Dan and Wesson made it and hi standard sold it. Any help would be great. I'm new to this so bare with me.

There are still some unfired Troopers out there:

I found an astonishing deal on a 6" Trooper Mk III .357 a couple of months ago, from a dealer at a gun show of all places. $300... I couldn't believe it. I bought it so fast I almost got whiplash.

The internals were clean, slight blue-ing wear at the end of the barrel and cylinder, no pits, dings, or rust anywhere, but the former owner had let some firing residue/crud build up on the cylinder. A good cleaning session cleared that up. It came with Pachmayr grips which were comfortable, but I've swapped them out with some classic wood grips.

As with the OP's gun, this one has an extremely light single-action release. The double-action is good, but not quite as smooth as what I've found on older S&Ws. It's the most accurate handgun I own and shoots like a dream.

I love this gun and it's probably the best handgun bargain I've ever been lucky enough to find.
