A buddy of mine REALLY wants my sportbike. He asked if I'd knock off $1k for his Dan Wesson Pointman 1911 and his HK USP .45. Both are in good condition.
The USP alone is worth around $600+, don't know much about 1911's from DW so Can't help you there. Given most 1911's cost more than $500 new I'd say if you want/need the guns its a great deal for you.
If you don't have a use or want of the pistols, or an immediate sale for them I would pass. Tell him to sell his pistols and bring you what you are asking for your bike.
You need to look at the deal as a whole, not just whether the 2 guns are worth $1000. Are you getting fair money for the bike? Would you have been willing to drop a few hundred on the bike if the guns weren't in the picture? If so than you need to subtract whatever amount you would be willing to move from the $1000. For example, if you would be willing to sell the bike for $300 less than your asking price then you are really only paying $700 for the guns.
