I would disagree with that statement. While I have NO PROOF, only my own experience to go on,I have bought several lower quality brand name guns from big box store. From function to aesthetics,things that would easily be caught by QC normally but weren't. As I say I have no proof but you cannot convince me that the guns are(sometimes) less than top of the line from the manufacturer. It is a moot point though since I no longer buy guns from "big box store" for that reason.
