So around here the only gunshow worth going to (at least that I have found) is the Collectors West gunshow at the Portland Expo center. They hold the show every 6-8 weeks and I make most of them but certainly not all. Most of the time its the same usual dealers, a few good deals but nothing screaming "OMG THIS WAS WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION"
Well today was the the exception to that, I went with my buddy and his wife. We all walked out winners.
My Buddy: he got a NIB Hi-point 9mm pistol, he has actually wanted a hi-point for a while and he has shot them a few times. He wanted it as a cheap plinking gun. He got it for 150otd
Buddies wife: She was dead set on finding a .22lr rifle and she was very intent that she haggle the deal herself well long story short she vanished for a while and came back with a basically new Ruger 10/22 that was originally 200 and she got it for 150, it came with a bunch of extras too.
Myself: my goal was to look for a shotgun unless I found a screaming deal on an LCP well I walked out the door with a Remington 870 Express Magnum. It shows some bluing wear and the wood is not 100% but I more than likely will be putting a synthetic stock on it anyway. I payed 160 OTD
All in all I think we all did really good and tomorrow is range day to try these all out.
Also they had .380ammo which I have not seen in a long time, it was a little pricey but not terrible most of the standard FMJ's were in the 22-25 range.
