Good evening ladies and gents,

Would it be stupid to get another wrangler?

I have a couple 22s but was thinking of a brace or wranglers for some fun range play. Mine is pretty much claimed so I was thinking of grabbing a different color.

I somehow ended up with an extra set up rosewood Ruger grips, and so I'm sort of stuck buying one (or I could sell the grips but that just seems absurd. Makes much more sense just to pick up a gun to put em on... Ahem...).

Might be fun practicing off hand shooting.

Dual wield them. In all honestly no, I think it's a good idea. I've been debating something similar.

Short answer - no, it would not be stupid to get another Wrangler if you like the one you bought. I picked up a silver Wrangler kind of on a lark and I am glad that I did.

I didn't need it and it's not my finest .22 handgun, but it shoots straight and if I want to bring something along for that 1% chance that I end up plinking that day then it fits the bill. I have other things I could bring but this is zero pressure. Fishing trip, training, whatever.

I got mine back when they were closer to $200 than $250.
Obviously they were a better deal back then.

And don't feel bad one bit about getting another gun just on account of some grips you have laying around. I did just that with a 5" blued GP100 and some Altamonts. And again - I am glad that I did.

Wranglers git lonely!
After getting a regular Wrangler, I had so much fun that I got one of the birdshead versions; now I gotta get some matching grips to go with the original! Who knew 22LR wuz so much fun?
[Spoiler alert: Apparently, everyone else but me.]

I certainly won't try to discourage you. Just call me an enabler. I don't mind encouraging someone to spend their money. What color are you going to get this time. You already know you are going to buy one despite any discouraging comments. :D

The first black Birdshead model I see will be coming home with me to keep my plow handle model company.
I bought a wrangler back when they were newish solely to convert to a birdshead grip. Then they come out with the actual BH wranglers and i didnt feel so special. Though the grip frame on mine is polished stainless...

As for the OP, you know none of us are gonna tell you not to get it. We are enablers! I only have one wrangler, but he hangs out with a quintet of single six older brothers and a blackhawk.

Yeah, one in each color now would prove excessive!

I have a silver one, and I was thinking of the classic black (though I wouldn't turn aside from a bronze).

225 out the door, not too bad! My first one I've had for over a year. Processed many a brick of 22!

I put Ruger rosewood on my silver Wrangler, it is so much better than the plastic grips. The olive Wrangler still wears the plastic to better fit the kids little hands. Dual wielding is fun. Go for it.
