I want one the SAA-styled cap and ball revolvers. I used to see them advertised, but can't find them now. I think they were made by Uberti or one of the Italian makers. Anyone seen them lately?
Cabella's has, in the past, offered a revolver styled very closely upon the Colt SAA Peacemaker, but with percussion cylinder and hammer. I haven't seen one of their catalogs in some time, but I'd bet this item is still available.
Look at these. I've been thinking about getting a repro of a 1851 Colt Navy. Are the steel cased ones OK to shoot? I've heard they can have reliability and timing issues.
