thank you Savage for sharing the photo. I hope someone recorded the story that goes with it, is a sad thing for history to be lost or taken out of context.
It appears to show a NCO or Officer in US uniform inspecting veteran troops in IJA uniform. My guess is that such an event may be from Korea in the months after the japan surrender, as US advisors took charge of of former IJA Korean nationals and set them up as the ROK army. I am pretty sure they used mostly surplus IJA weapons and uniforms right up to 1950.
Maybe one of our other members has some information that might help, if so thanks.
