2700 --48.8 - 54.0gr
2520 --41.8 - 47.5gr
2495br --41.1 - 45.5gr
2015br --38.8 - 43.0gr
2460 --39.6 - 45.0gr
3100 --59.0 - 59.0gr
2230 --40.2 - 44.0gr

Is what the Lee manual I have says

hrmmm so as a general rule then....

do i need to adjust my normal loads up or down to compensate for the greater length and hardness of the x bullet?

The loads Darkker gave you are for the Barnes X-bullet.

(Although they don't exactly agree with my 2nd. Edition copy of the Lee book)

But IF I were going to reload X-bullets, I would get a Barnes reloading manual and study it first.

X-bullets come in several vintages & flavors, and there is a wide range of loading data for them, depending on if they are older solid shank style, or have the newer clearance grooves in the shank, etc.

Heres a little more from Barnes website:

In my experience with with the X bullets (62 and 85 grain TSX)...in 223 and 243...you can go well over listed powder charges for other bullets of the same weight...but do it carefully.

For example...48 grains of Reloder 19 under an 85 grain TSX is a really good 243 load...Thats 3 grains over Hornady's listed max.

You can do this because the grooves in the bullets reduce friction...which reduces pressure.
