X-Treme Bullet Shipping Costs?

Looks like the typical horribly slow shipping from UPS too. I ordered on 5/2. Got ship notice on 5/7. It left on 5/8. Tracking says delivery will be 5/15.

Before the change, i would get my orders in 2 days.

Looks like those days are gone.

Wow.....go look at their shipped prices now....especially if your on the east coast. Very close to Berry's pricing now.

Oh well.....good until they reset with the rest of their industry.

i don't recall them charging for shipping although two out of the four times i have ordered them, usp has been a day late according to the schedule. i just ordered another thousand and arrived within 5 business days. sucks because the prices went down after i placed the order. will be buying more if only I can find powder...

I just got another email from X-treme Bullets updating their change regarding shipping and it's very good news. They said,

Finally, we would like to announce that we will be offering 5 dollar flat rate shipping on all orders permanently. So whether you order 2,500 or 25,000 bullets, the shipping will always be the same, 5 dollars!

We here at X-Treme Bullets know you work hard for every dollar you make and that is why we offer the high volume shooter quality plated projectiles at affordable prices.

So, the end result is they've dropped their prices by $13 on all 1000 count plated bullets and shipping will only be a flat $5. We reloaders reap the benefit. Overall savings....a good thing.

Yep.....just got the email as well. Good news indeed.

10% off their excellent 40 165 grain bullets as well.

UPS ground still sucks though but I guess for $5 flat rate we shouldn't complain.

Best price point on quality plated in the industry!

Makes waiting 7 days (still haven't received my order from 5/7) tolerable i guess at $5. I'm glad they decided to keep the shipping low.

I've ordered Xtremes a lot over the years and their shipping policies have changed a few times before. When I first started ordering from them shipping was included in the price. Then they went to separate shipping charges via UPS. Another time it changed and shipping was via USPS flat rate box and up to three boxes of bullets were the same price. Then they went back to "free" shipping (shipping included in the price) but still via USPS. Now they've gone back to separate shipping charges and taken them out of the price of the bullets and are back with UPS. Any way they crunch the numbers they are still an excellent product at a good price and I will continue using them.

I E-Mailed them that if they would give the customer the option of UPS or USPS I would continue to buy from, if not there plenty of suppliers who wish my business.

My thinking is the customer rules, if not I'm gone.

I'm waiting on a shipment now that's 10 days out since leaving.

I'm also looking at trying the coated bullets.

Several people, including myself, on another forum have been laughing our posteriors off over the frequent delays with X-T's "sister" company Freedom Munitions. seems like every truck out of Spokane, WA has been getting delayed in Hodgkins, IL. I personally haven't cared because they're not critical orders and if they (F-M) are going to go the same route for shipping costs as X-T I'm personally not bothered by it coming by slow truck. Their stuff is good so far, reasonably priced, and is available.

I'd also note that the last couple "specials" F-M ran it was $5, free, and $5 for shipping.

I had an order from F-M delayed almost 2 weeks in-transit for some bizarre reason. I'm guessing there's some logistics hiccups being worked out for the arrangement/deal with UPS and X-T. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

After xtremes facebook post about the new shipping deal with UPS, people blew up on them. Negative comment after negstive comment.. Now We get an email about $5 flat rate shipping is permanent.. Sounds like the peoples voice was heard!

My local distributor of Xtreme bullets just sent this.
"We are clearing out our X-Treme copper plated bullets. Freedom Munitions who owns X-Treme Bullet Co. has moved away from their distributor model to a wide open retail model at near distributor pricing. There no longer is room for a small profit for the distributor who keeps the inventory on hand. The market has spoken. Lower prices, less choices, as long term distributors of X-Treme Bullets pull the plug. Short term benefits for sure to consumers but I'm not so sure about longer term. This is one to watch."

Hey, I like their bullets! Fine quality.. It's all I buy. And they just keep getting cheaper.. Just goes to show you how overpriced the others are.

My last two orders got hung up in Hodgkins also.

This whole thing is a PITA, placed order on 5/5 and it just shipped, Delivery on 5/22.
2 1/2 weeks is not what anyone expects for an in stock item.

Damn 2horse, they must be taking the long way. You couldve rode your bike out there and picked it up by then.

I live 90 miles from xtreme bullets in Carson city nv, it took 9 days to receive my order on an in stock item. It was shipped snail mail, or for those of you in rio Linda , USPS.

It will get better. Just remember they have shipped hundreds of thousands of bullets in the last 2-3 weeks. Last year on average I could order on Friday, and they were sitting on my door step on Tuesday in Georgia. Last November when they did the 15% off sale I placed an order, and it took 3 weeks, and 2 days to arrive. I know UPS can be a PITA, but I bet Xtreme has been running wide open the last few weeks.
