Have most of you had decent shipping? Reason I ask is that I purchased 500 180gr RNFP in 40 cal on the 22nd of Feb and the delivery is scheduled to be here on Wednesday, 3/5. Not what I as expecting? Not irritated, just not what was expected...certainly won't prohibit me from ordering again however!

Depends on where ya live. They are on the Western side of Idaho, I am on the East Coast so it is usually a week. They will either ship by USPS or UPS---cheapest method. My last order took 10 days due to a few weather delays.

I've had two orders from them. Most recent was on the evening of the last day of the sale period (a Sunday night, IIRC), so I expected they would be swamped. Still came within a week, I forget the exact number of days.

My first order was for three different calibers. One came quickly, then nothing. I finally followed up after a couple of weeks. Turns out they ship from two different locations, and one of them had dropped the ball. After the follow-up, I had the bullets soon enough. Again, I can't remember the exact timing.

A week ago, I tried to overdrive their .357 125 grain bullets out of my 24" Rossi R92 using 15, 16 or 17.5 grains of 2400, which I expect to be getting close to 2000 fps. No crono and only shot at 20 yards, since it was cold and raining and I wussed out and went to the indoor range. All shot equally well, meaning within my cruddy skills. Weekend after next I hope to go to the 50 yard range and confirm this, but if there was any problem with pushing them hard, I couldn't see it.

I'm another that switched from using Rainer to X-treme bullets. I started with a trial batch of 500 115gr 9mm and always use Titegroup for making target loads.

Since then I've filled in other calibers with X-treme bullets and am VERY pleased.
40S&W I like the 180gr RNFP with Longshot powder.
45ACP I like the 230gr RN with HS-6 and the 200gr LSWC with Bullseye.
in my .2223/5.56 AR-15 I like H335 with their jacked 55gr .224 bullet

I just picked up a S&W 686-SSR and am currently going through load workup. I got a box of the X-treme 38cal 158gr plated SWC. I started off using HS-6 for mild target load and the results have been AWESOME. Through a stroke of luck I managed to find a box of Magnum primers AND some WIN 296 so my next project will be to work up a batch of 357Magnum party favorites and see if I can reach 1500fps. With a 4" bbl I don't think that's likely, but we'll see. There is published load data is there to support it, but most test barrels in .357Mag are 6" or longer.

hey Ed..Im in Atlanta, so that's most likely the deal. However, I'm about to be your neighbor.... Just a accepted a job in central New Hampshire.

Kevin

I have about 5,000 on-hand in 9, .40, & .45. Love these bullets. Just loaded up 60 test rounds of 9mm in new Starline cases over HS-6 (30) and 800X (30) this weekend to test at the range. Can't wait to get there!

Very hard to beat their price/value, free shipping... but hold out for a discount. They usually run a coupon once a month. This month it was 5%, but I bought two months straight last fall for 10% off and I think Christmas was 15%. Great value. Happy Loads!

Don't Buy Xtreme .45 cal 230 grain RN....

...because then there'll be more for me:)

I usually buy them from Lolo sporting goods in Lewiston, ID when I'm passing through. Lolo is somehow associated with Xtreme bullets/Freedom Munitions (same owner?). They almost always have them in stock.

Definately my "go to" practice bullet. I use it with 5 grains of 700x or 6 grains of Unique.

Did someone say they give a 5% discount for vets?

Well I hope you like the cold Kevin and the snow. By the way a little ice doesn't shut New England down like it does in Atlanta!!

Thank you for your service!! Yes they do give vets a discount but it is only 3%

Has anyone ever tested their played hollow points? I'd only plan on using them for practice, but it be cool to know if they actually open up.

I'm interested in shooting the 158g HPs at moderate 357 speeds.

Yes they give 3% for vets. You cannot combine it with another discount but at least it is always there. I had one shipment that was held up 15 days
but that was strickly weather related. Ice storm was everywhere. I like their bullets and they seem happy to have your business.

Edited to show correct discount

Hey Ed...funny thing is...I flew to NH the weekend after the ice apocalypse here...they all made fun of me!

FYI - all plated hollow points and .223 55 gn fmj 5% off for the next 7 days per an email i just got today.

Got my first order from them today...was delayed due to the crappy weather, but I am happy it arrived safely.

I am impressed with the care they took to package the order. It was only 500 9mm and 500 .45 bullets, but the strapping tape, giant staples and the nice boxing far exceeded my expectations for an order of this size.

I'll post my results after I hit the range.

Ordered 1500 55gr fmjs from them back on black friday. Took about a week and a half to get. VERY happy with the results. They will do their part if I do mine. Only thing some people may not like on the 55gr bullets is that the cannelure is barely there. They have markings, but it isn't like the hornady. Just look at the attached pictures and you can see what I mean. Both pictures are Hornady 55gr Soft Point on left, Hornady 55gr FMJBT in the middle, and then the Xtreme Bullets 55gr FMJ on the right.

The 55gr fmj from them does have a boat tail base. It is a little tough to see, but it is there. They also use a different copper to jacket the rounds. It is a different color than the Hornady, and it doesn't turn orange nearly as fast.

i just placed an order for 2k bullets. are they caught up on their orders? i ordered 1k 40sw bullets a couple of months back and it took like three weeks before it was shipped. even without the discounts, the prices and quality are pretty good.

just got an email from them yesterday with tracking number. should be here just on time friday. (spring break starts) will finally have time to test some 9mm and 223 loads and use my new lee classic turret.

Well, trigga, they aren't taking too horribly long. I think you are going to like that press. I know I love mine. Glad you are getting the bullets with perfect timing. Let us know how it all goes.

i got the turret press a month or two ago and only loaded about 50 round before i ran out of bullets, primer, and powder. i am happy to say i'm starting to see components come back. i wish they offered .308 bullets too. those will be hard to keep in stock.

More xtreme

I keep buying them. Every time they send a sale coupon I can't help myself. My daughter loves how "pretty" they are.
