XD .45 Accessories

Ok, so I have an XD .45 compact that I usually carry. Here are my thoughts on improving it:

Crimson Trace Laser Grip: I found one online for close to $300 with shipping. Is this a decent price or can a better deal be found? I looked around for one, but didn't have much luck. Also, considering I'm carrying it, I would have the laser on for most of my day. How long will the battery last if I keep it in on mode but not presenting the laser?

Grip Sleeve: When I target shoot with my XD I find that the grip ends up making the palm of my hand a bit sore. Would a grip sleeve be worthwhile if I didn't get the Crimson Trace Grip?

ClipDraw: I have seen these advertised for some time and have considered using one. Does anyone have one installed on their XD .45? If so, how hard/easy was it? Would I be able to quickly take it off to stash my gun in my SmartCarry for work, and then reattach it for every day carry?

Any thoughts/suggestions/input are greatly appreciated.

If you end up getting a grip sleeve, you will need to cut a notch out of it for the grip safety. Just a heads up.

I have a grip sleeve on mine, it feels pretty comfrotable, I'll let you know tomorrow how it handles since I haven't shot it yet.
