Several years ago I bought a XD-45 service bitone and its all stock. I have put about 200-300 rounds through the gun and put it away. I have the case and whatever it came with.

Recently I have thought about selling it....

What is the going price for this gun?

My 9mm service NIB was $400 new. I know .45 and bitone ans .45 is a little more so I would agree with wow6599. +/-$450

Also agree. XDMs are about $550, possibly a little more depending on the hysteria in your area. Personally, my favorites in the modern Springfield handgun lineup are the basic XDs, which generally run about a C-note less in new/barely used condition.

I have shot it here and there, overall I like it. My department requires us to buy our own duty weapons and recently all xds and xdms were banned from duty use due to a design flaw that was not resolved with Springfield.

I think hes referring to the striker retainer pin. I think its called anyway, the pin thats viewable from the top of the slide. Just replace it after 5000 rds. They have stronger replacement pins available also. I've never had an issue with it and I've even heard of guys running with it broken.

Springfield did such a poor job addressing my department that they just decided to take it off the approved weapons list along with the fact that we had too many problems with the firearms.

HCSO can carry what they can qualify with, Our department still has officers carrying the xd/xdm platform only if they had previously had qualified with them. They are grandfathered in with the xds.

No new officers or officers whom had not previously had qualified with them may carry them as duty weapons.

There were several incidents where the pin broke and officers were not able to fire their weapon, this included qualifying and actual street incidents.

In all honesty I was surprised about these problems, I have seen many more problems with the smith and wessons............

phantom, how big is your department? Usually Springfield is pretty good about getting back with their clients, especially law enforcement. I've had my XD-40 for about 10 years and I've shot well over 5000 rounds thru it with out any problems.

Houston.

They gave them a chance, but they didnt fix the problem to their liking, so they banned them from our approved list.
