I'm closing in on 1000 rounds out of my XD-40, that I bought back in March of this year. I've had zero problems, its very accurate, and very well constructed. Who-ever told you this about XD-40's is really full of crap, its one of the best guns out there.

I have over 3000 rounds through my XD40 and haven't had any problems. I have only experienced 2 failure to ejects but both were caused by lite handloads. It is a fine weapon.

I had an XD 40 service model last year. Before it hit 1,000 rounds, the trigger spring broke. Cost me $25 for local gunsmith to fix it. Other then that it worked good. I didn't care for the caliber and thought it felt a bit top-heavy so I sold it to a work aquaintance who still has it, but rarely shoots it.
that is too bad that you paid the gunsmith, sa would have been more than happy to take care of you and they would also have refinished for you if you wanted.

I read a lot of forums and i dont think Ive seen one yet with problems on a XD.
Not saying they dont have any, but ive never seen any threads.... Ck out Xdtalk forums and see what they say over there.

Shot a XD40 Tactical for 4 years and traded it for a XD45 that I've shot for 2 years. The only problem with either after several thousand shots combined was a FTE with a shot shell that I used to kill a rattlesnake in South Texas last spring. XDs are great guns.
