I just bought a bi-tone XD 9 subcompact. If anyone out there owns this or has used this gun, please share your opinios and advice on ammo, accesories, mods or any other info on this gun.
THANKS!!!

I have the sub compact in OD 9mm. I've had it for a few months now and probably put 1000 rounds through it so far. It shoots just about anything I run through it. It's only failed to fire once and that was today. I was shooting cheap Remington shells and it failed to feed one round. Other than that I haven't had any problems. The only accessory that I've purchased for it so far is the Insight X2 light. That too works like a champ. In the next few weeks I'll be putting a lasermax in it. The only work I'm going to have done on the pistol is trigger work. I think it has too much take up and I would like the trigger to break a little lighter. Other than that...I love it. :)

I have the plain black subcompact XD9, and it is my normal carry piece when it is cool enough to dress to conceal it.
Love it, love it, love it.
The only mod I made was to add night sights, I have probably 3k rounds through it, never a single failure of any kind, and that's with blazer, WWB, remington, wolf, any kind of HP, you name it.
The trigger is excellent.
Can you tell I like it?:D

I am thinking of getting one of these. I have been struggling on trying to find the right ammo for a 3inch barrel. I have setteled on either corbon 115 +P, double tap 115gr. +P or black hills +P ammo. There seems to be a loss of roughly 120 fps from a 4inch to a 3inch barrel. Any thoughts on this?

I have the black 9mm, got it to carry. Carried ALOT, no rust issues even if the finish is very thin. More accurate than any of my 9mm's.

I've had my OD green for a couple months now and not had a bit of trouble. I shot it yesterday in our tactical match, performed flawlessly. Mine is a 6 o'clock site picture which is different from my XD45. Doesn't cause any problems for IDPA style matches, but I do have to point a little lower for head shots on the targets. As for mods, I'm thinking about getting the trigger done at Canyon Creek. Try http://www.pistolgear.com/ for more XD goodies. :D Enjoy. I really like my XD45 and XD9, so much so I'm thinking of getting the XD9 SC.

I have a black XD9SC and have put about 500 rounds through it. It has worked flawlessly for me so far. I wish it were slightly smaller/lighter so I could pocket carry for hotter weather but I knew that when I bought it. I have it mostly for home defense but occasionally carry it too.

Mine (all black..no rust btw) gave me no trouble...until..one day it started have a feeding problem that would lock the gun up good. Took quite a bit to the lodged round free and back into operation. The problem was simple though. It was me...I am an idiot...somehow I managed to install the magazine spring into the magazine incorrectly after taking the mag apart to clean it and install some pierce grip extensions. Oh well, live and learn. :)
