XD9 Service vs. XD9 Tactical vs. CZ75 (SA?)

What the title says. I know a few people here own two or all of the above guns. If you could only have an XD or a CZ75, which would you buy? And, is the XD Tactical worth the extra money over the price of the Service model or would that money be better spent on a stainless Service model? This is not going to be a carry gun so the size difference between the guns is insignificant. I know they're both great guns, but I haven't seen many people make direct comparisons. I've only handled the XD Service and it felt good, and I'm going to check out a CZ75 tomorrow, but I'd like to hear opinions about relative accuracy/performance/reliability.

I have an XD9 service and a CZ75B. Got the XD first, then fell in love with CZ's. I really do like the XD and it is a very good SA, but for me the CZ is just so much better. I really should send the XD to a home were it will be loved and used.

haha i'm just the opposite--used to have both the xd and cz, now just have the xd and just ordered another one! My 4" xd is more accurate than my cz was, though it was no slouch and the second most accurate 9mm I have fired. But with the xd it just seems easier for me to shoot and shoot well fast, its easier to take down for cleaning...lots of little advantages to me.

the cz's decent too though--lots of people love them. Try to handle boht if you can. Lots of people love the cz ergonomics, but the xd is better to me.

I own two XD's and four CZ's. They are all reliable. I was shooting IDPA competition with a XD last year and switched to a CZ-75B SA this year. I seem to be shooting better but I believe that is because the CZ is a heavier gun.

Man.....your not making this an easy one. The XD's Ive shot are accurate as hell and have great SA triggers. But you hit my favorite CZ also. Ive had 3 SA's and the last one was the clincher. Just an absolute shooter..............
Id say shoot them all and see which one you like. They are that close.
If I had to pick one..........The SA gets my vote.

PCRCCW, that's my problem. I might be able to shoot a CZ before I buy, but I don't know anyone who has an XD and my local range doesn't have rentals of either gun.

OK, I just got back from handling the CZ75SA and the XD9 Service and my mind is made up. I want the CZ. It felt so much more natural in my hands, my eyes focused on the sights perfectly (I think it's because the front sight paint is slightly brighter), the trigger is sweeeeeeet, and it comes with 3 mags (2x10rnds, 1x15rnds) for $50 less than the XD with 2 mags ($500 vs. $550). The other nice thing is that since the CZ I looked at has a pre-'03 manufacture date, I don't have to pay the extra $30 for an "internal lock" that the stupid state laws require. Nothing against the XD. If I were looking for a carry gun I'd have made the opposite decision and I definitely wouldn't mind having both guns (I'd take the XD over a Glock in a heartbeat). But, holding the CZ and then picking up the XD made the XD feel like a toy.

Another note is the optional Heine Slant Pro night sights on the XD are very nice. The two stacked dots look funny until you line up the sights, then you wonder why they aren't all like that. I may have to look into getting them on my soon-to-be-purchased CZ. . .

Youll love this gun.......and if you need more opinions on it.....If you absolutely have to that is.....send it to me for around 6 months with a couple of cases of 9mm and Ill give you honest feedback on it. Sound good???????????????????

I have recently gone through the same dilemma over an XD and a CZ 75 SA. I went with the CZ. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet. I have two other CZs and just like how they feel and have been happy with their performance.
