I'm getting strange vibes from my XD's... I shot about 300 rds through my XD9 Service (4") on Sunday, and 200 rds through my XD9 Tactical (5") today. I'm having trouble figuring out what specifically is bugging me, but after my range session today, I'm pretty much convinced the Service shoots and handles better. The Tactical feels sort of unwieldy and sluggish, and it doesn't seem as accurate, although I don't really measure my groups. This seems strange to me, but I almost feel like the extra length on the Tactical is detrimental to the gun. I can understand the shorter Service feeling a bit more nimble, but I expected the longer Tactical to tame recoil better - decreasing recovery time between shots - and be more accurate. However, it really doesn't feel that way to me thus far. Has anyone else gotten a similar impression? I'm curious to read about anyones impressions shooting both guns.
