XDS barrel scuffs?

Hello I have just bought a Springfield XDS. I shot one box of ammo through it (50 rounds) the top of the barrel (rear top) looks awe-fully scuffed up for just 50 rds. Any ideas about this. Also how do the scuff markers or paint work on that issue?

It's normal. All semi auto pistols do this unless the barrel was handfit. It's just like the powder burns on the fron of a revolver cylinder. After a while you'll stop worrying about it. Blue and black guns don't stay looking great for long if you shoot them. Keep shooting it.
