Whatever it's going to turn out to be, I refuse to have to register my stuff. I got the KAK model coming in for my 12.5. In the end, it will only be a couple of inches longer than it is now.

Handling with the short barrel and XM-177 FH is very nice. You will like it

Good deal.

Honestly, I was so hot on short barreled everything for so long and tolerating braces, that I almost forgot how good a personally chosen stock can feel and enhance the shooting experience. I just got into a 13.9 Hanson profile BA barrel and pinned and welded an FCD 6315 to it. I really like how that handles. Of course, I haven't had to clear any rooms or get out of a car really quick with one, but then again, I haven't had to do that with any of my shorties either. LOL

I just also ran across a 16" hanson profile barrel that I had in my parts box. It was one that I had up for sale and the sale fell through and I forgot all about it. Of course, when I saw that, I kept digging and found everything I needed to slap an upper together. It's kind of funny how 16" is kinda like the magic number. You get longer than that and things start to feel a little too long. I'm thinking about running the 16" without a muzzle device just to keep it as short as possible. It's just going to be a range/hunting/whatever rifle anyway.

I agree. I don’t & WON’T register anything! I build/machine my own items and they don’t leave my possession. I’m the manufacturer of my own items & Im not a criminal. So why would I need the gov’ment to do a background check on me and pay them for permission? I don’t ask for permission. And Feds are trespassed from my property. Especially now that they are nothing more than Democrat party pawns!
