Not sure what's going on here but I was trying to track down what happened to a $200 order I placed with Xtreme bullets 3 weeks ago; I've ordered probably 60K bullets from them the past couple of years and they always shipped quickly. Got a response back from Freedom Munitions/Xtreme bullets that they were sorry for the delay but my card won't be charged until it ships. Fine, but why the delay, I ask. She replies they've had a large amount of orders and it's causing a delay in shipping. I ask her to tell her boss that if they can't ship an order in three weeks I'm done buying from them and to cancel my order. Anyone else having issues? These were in stock bullets according to the website. Nothing exotic nor a huge order.

I was just on their web site and it pretty much looks the same. I've always had good service from them and since you've done a good deal of business with X-Treme you should know how to deal with them. Thanks for the info on your dealings with X-Treme. I guess I'll wait to see what your final out come is with them before I buy anything from them. Good luck and please keep us informed.

They recently ran a 10% off and free shipping promotion over labor day and was likely hit with a lot of orders which could explain the delay - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...onents-for-sale.707473/page-160#post-10632758

X-Treme and Freedom Munitions are sister companies both owned by Howell Munitions and Technology - http://www.howellmunitionsandtech.com/

If you want faster ship times, there's always RMR as their staff seem to be used to the constant high volume of orders to process new orders and ship them out usually within a day, no more than few days.

X-Treme bullets have been part of Freedom Munitions for a long time. Maybe forever, but I don’t know since I’ve only been buying from them for 2-3 years.

Sometimes they ship fast, sometimes slow. For me that’s not an issue because I don’t wait until I need bullets before I order them. Their 10-20% off with free shipping specials plus the quality of their bullets plus the customer service that I have received outweigh any shipping delays that I have experienced. But, that’s just me. Obviously, your mileage varies.

Whenever they have the site wide discount and free shipping specials (several times a year) the shipping times suffer. 4 weeks is not unheard of. I typically only order when they have a good deal, and don't get my hopes up that it will arrive right away. Plan ahead. But, I always get what I ordered.

I don't mind waiting when i can get 9mm plated for $55 per K free shipping.
Exactly. I ordered 3K of the 115HPs and 3K of the 135HPs for the same $55/1000 shipped. They had around 140,000 between the two on Sunday when I ordered - all sold yesterday evening when I checked. I'd like to be doing load development with them this weekend, but for that kind of savings I'll cut them some slack.

I ordered some on their last sale got the bullets in about 2 weeks, always been happy with them and when they run those 10 to 15 percent off with free shipping those are some good deals I bet they get backed up at times

Well I didn't get the discount so I shouldn't have to suffer. At least that's my way of looking at it. :D

Thanks all for the info. I'll go back to my go-tos, berry's, TJconevera, MBC and RMR.

Good heavens that is a good deal. Why do I never get news of stuff like this?

Because you weren't signed up to get their newsletter maybe? They send one out every day with specials of the day, holiday sales, etc. Patience and planning ahead pays off.

Yep, I get an email every night from xtreme with whatever is on sale or if any big sale is going on , just go to their website and sign up , sometimes they have really good deals

Xtreme has always been slower to ship than most of the other sellers I have dealt with, but my order has always arrived.

Keep in mind also that USPS, UPS and FedEx stopped picking up stuff for a while that was bound for areas affected by the storms in Texas and Florida. I can easily imagine that their shipping department may be working off that backlog as well as the higher volume of Labor Day sales.

Like the others, I usually just wait for their sales and have no problem waiting for them to ship, but that's because of prior experience. As far as them being the same company, I always thought they were. I also have great experiences with their customer service folks. They've taken care of any issues or questions I've had.

Ya there shipping well sucks but there prices are good I order before i run out so not that big of a deal for me

Have you bought from them in the past? How do they compare to Precision Delta or Berrys?
I've used most of a lot of 2,000 of them - they are to this point my favorite projectile. They are a bit different approach than the RMR FMJs, in that they use a concave base to elongate the bearing surface rather than a blunt nose. You can load them to longer OALs due to their more pointed nose - 1.145" will clear a barrel with no leade and my guns will chamber 1.165" without issue.

I was worried when I got them as they measure .3545" in diameter where I was used to the RMR's .3555". But nontheless, they have proven if not the most accurate projectile in my guns at least equal to the RMR-manufactured RN FMJs and better than the standard Berry's plated RN. I suspect the concave base promotes a greater degree of obturation and with this design it may well be advantageous to size them slightly smaller. Either that or the diameter with a FMJ isn't a critical as many believe, because they shoot great.

I did find they require heavier charges than the RMR bullets, assuredly the product of their geometry and sizing. I believe the most applicable Hodgden 124FMJ load data for CFE Pistol indicated 5.2gr max where I settled on 5.3gr/1.145" to get it burning clean and shooting accurate. Averages 1107fps from my P10-C, pleasant to shoot and is very accurate.

For a while they had even cheaper prices on them - I paid $64/1000 on my lot of 2,000. I love them and would buy a lot more but am wanting to go plated to reduce lead exposure and could not resist the deep discounts on the xtreme HPs afforded by their latest clearance sale. I don't expect them to be quite as good as Everglades or RMR FMJs - but as I've used Berry's and they are fine for my purposes saw no reason to avoid the xtremes.
