Had a great day with the chronograph today, was over cast and did not have on bad reading.

Out of a G17 124 xtreme plated with 4.14 gns of titegroup with an oal of 1.146 with mixed brass I was getting an average of 1046 fps with the brass landing around my feet.

Same load out of my KVP uppper with 16 inch barrel (made by faxon) was averaging 1240 fps and had a very moderate recoil compared to the factory 115 fmj I had been shooting. Really made this gun funner to shoot.

Both guns had 50 rounds ran through with no malfunctions.

4.0 gr of Titegroup with 124 gr RN bullet is one of my favored loads for 9mm.

I went up to 4.3 gr of Titegroup using 1.160" OAL for my load development and got 2"-3" shot groups at 25 yards - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...e-pistol-reloaders.746062/page-2#post-9382933

3.8 gr Titegroup: 3" - 4" (Smallest shot group 2.80")
4.0 gr Titegroup: 2" - 4" (Smallest shot group 1.70")
4.3 gr Titegroup: 3.5"-4.5" (Disclaimer: Since Hodgdon lists 4.1 gr as max for 124 gr Berry's HBRN at 1.150", use this load at your own risk)

I have found the same thing, I am using 4.1 gr. of Titegroup for my Berry's plated with a COAL of 1.150. It was a tough call between 4.0 and 4.1, but in the end, I went with the 4.1 gr. I might have to try another set with 4.0 now just to verify.

I've had similar results. And I've also been impressed with how clean this load is. My XD pistols barely needed a wipe down after a range session.

Does it leave kind of a grey residue at the end of your xd? It does on my taurus g2 pt111, have shot hundreds to thousands of these loads from that gun, and it leaves a gray residue. I think it just wipes off but it doesn't bother me so I don't bother cleaning it off.

Most powders leave that grey residue on the front of pistol to a degree.

I usually don't bother with it until I clean the pistol.
