Has anyone used or ordered Xtreme primers yet? I just saw them on their website while I was looking for bullets, but they don't have any in stock at this time. They could definitely make some money off this if they can maintain production since there are so few other primers manufacturers currently.

Heard about that some time ago. Rumor control at the shot show has them selling powder and primers. The powder I believe from Hungary and the Primers were said to be US manufacture but I haven't a clue who is really making the components?

I have been very happy with their plated bullets, I would love to try their primers.

I was told by one of the reps from ATK at the SHOT Show that the primers were probably going to be coming from CCI, which is why they advertise them as "being similar to CCI in performance". I haven't seen them in stock any of the times I've checked their website.

Their powder is Lovex, made in the Czech Republic. I have some to test, but haven't had time to work up any loads. Lovex provides limited loading data on their website, and some of their powders are listed in QuickLoad.

Hope this helps.

Fred, I don't see any powder listed on their site. Is that something they have coming?

Havok7416,

They were advertising powder on their website for awhile, but have taken it down. At the SHOT Show last January, they displayed both primer and powder containers in their booth, but said both were "coming soon".

I have four of their powders to test, one high velocity handgun powder and three rifle powders. I've found a prospective load in 357 Sig for the pistol powder, but I don't have any of the 140 gr. bullets listed in their data. I've also found one load that looks promising in .375 Winchester with a cast bullet with one of the rifle powders, but again I haven't had the time to work up any loads. Life just keeps getting in the way and I'm finding more all the time that the "leisure years" I was promised are a myth.

Hope this helps.

Fred

Fred, very helpful indeed. I would love to see more "off-brand" powders appear on the market if for nothing else but variety. More suppliers, however limited their distribution might be would be welcome also.
