I CCW with my S type Fat Boy. For town carry ect. it is the right size, maybe a little big. I talked to Tim Tang about the cell phone pouch not being handy and he sent me a mid size cell pouch that goes on the front shoulder strap and now it is almost perfect. I carry a CZ PO-1 with an Surefire 200 attached in a velcro'd holster from 511 in the zippered pouch next to the body and a couple extra mags or speed loaders , still plenty of room for fast access and with the zipper it is NOT gonna be exposed . OR I carry a Colt Agent in a Kramer pocket holster. Carrying without a holster is bad ju-ju !:uhoh: :scrutiny: and illeagal in some places. I have a Surefire Executive defender in the front pocket and a Emerson Commander zippered into the rear pocket, so nobody sees any weapons-ever;)
A wallet , sunglasses, extra glasses and a small tooth brush and small mouth wash bottle and hair brush leaves plenty of room left in the main compartment for a small water bottle and snacks ect- or what ever. I like the trendy green color better than the too ninja black, The tan gets dirty too fast:p

that fatboy is a heck of a good bag. good amount of cargo space, comfortable, and made very well. most of the Maxpedition stuff is well made. on another thread i recommended it for use as an active shooter response bag. someone used Eagle's branded "Active Shooters Bag" but it was not built half as well as this Maxpedition, which i suggested was a much better bag not for just that kind of response but for many other things as well, from everyday CCW to an off duty LEO that wanted to have a quick response bag.

If I may quote myself

for those gentlemen with the "purse" comments go on out and buy a .500 S+W Magnum if you are uncomfortable about you manliness ( preferably the Scandium model with the 2" barrell ).

And If I may quote hso

For all the "eeek, it's a purse" guys, we've had that tired old discussion before with all the pathetic junior high cracks

The problem with these things are that if it isn't camoflauge, OD, or black, it lucks like a purse and of course I wouldn't carry it. If it is camoflauge, OD, or black, it looks like ubertacticalmallninjery and of course I wouldn't carry it.

I carry mine in the most PC socialist place in Calif- Santa Cruz, with nary a look. Military bags are quite the vogue you see, that why the OD green is cool!

Yeah, but you have nary a Chinese star or Che Guavara on yours. How could it be cool without that? :)

Was walking around a local store, and saw a guy wearing one. It looked fully loaded, and a quick guess would have pegged it around 25-30 lbs. If I am going to carry that kind of weight, I think I would prefer a more traditional backpack. Maybe one of the ones from camelback that have the extra pockets. At least I would have a drink along with everything else.

My packs are pretty full, but I can't even imagine what you would have to do to a Fatboy Versapack, or Jumbo for that matter, to make one weigh 25 to 30lbs. I don't think that would be possible, unless you're stuffing bricks and mortar or dumb-bells into one. As noted previously, my Jumbo which is pretty full only weighs around 9lbs. Maybe you were just joking, and I misread your post.

The regular Fatboy also makes a nice camera bag when going to kids plays, parades, etc. Usefulness, limited only by our imaginations, and insecurities. I actually find them more useful for things other than CCW.

That's pretty cool. I've been looking for something similar to carry some of my tools in at work, and it wouldn't be bad at all for a bug-in-bag or the like.

Where are they made?

That was a rough estimate, and thinking back was probably high. However, it did seem very heavy (heavy enough for him to lean to one side while carrying).

Hopefully you guys will be able to discuss this in the future without all the pithy comments that add nothing to the signal to noise ratio.
