A buddy of mine flew in to town and after i picked him up at the airport we drove to the jump zone. We got a free fall jump from 14,500 feet. The first 10,000 feet were free fall and then we were under canopy for the rest of the ride (tandem).

After that we drove to a local Mexican joint owned by a nice old guy from Mexico who has over 6,000 jumps under his belt. We shot the bull with him while we ate and then I went home.

When I got home I discovered that a package had arrived in the mail for me. It was full of cool toys I had ordered from Eotech, Aimpoint, Surefire etc.

This morning I got to work mounting things on my AR's and watching GoPro video from yesterdays jump.

I wish every day could be that cool.

What adventure did everyone else get into this weekend?

Went drag racing Friday night and ran an 11.20.
Went target shooting with a buddy outdoors for the first time of the year yesterday.
I sighted in the scope which spent the winter on my new Savage Mark II BSEV.
I shot 5 groups of 5 all sub 0.5 MOA
Last night we went to the casino and I won $800.00 which pays for my range membership, the 2,000 9mm 124gr JHP's, 2,000 .45ACP 230gr RN's and 5,000 S&B LPP's I bought yesterday.

Well.....I quit skydiving years ago.....so no jumps for me this weekend. I'm certain you had fun.

Best thing for me over the weekend was that my wife surprised me by hiring a painting crew to do all of the house trim next month. I was not looking forward to standing on a ladder scraping and painting the 2nd story trim.
Now I can relax, sit on the porch, and concentrate on drinking some cold Bodhi.

You can't leave us hanging...what type of car/engine?

THAT is NICE!!!

I don't blame you for not wanting that job. I hired out the same thing last month and it was the best money I ever spent.

There's nothing to help you relax like watching someone else do a job you didn't want to do.:D

I wish there was a range that allowed you to shoot from a parachute, as if you were an invading force. I'm sure people would pay good money for that, but it would require a lot of land and insurance, lol

We went out for a nice breakfast, did a little house hunting (thinking about downsizing), and I removed a couple of old pine trees and replaced them with new stock (Blue Spruce). We had a nice steak salad dinner (Thank You Groupon!), out on the back deck, and simply relaxed for the rest of the evening (or as she so quaintly put it: "Just like an old married couple").

Nothing skydiving or gun related but we enjoyed our day together.

Definitely would have to say you had the more adventurous and fun-filled weekend.

It's been a few years since I've jumped from a plane, I envy you OP. All I really did was go to a good friend's wedding and reception. But to keep it THR related, I DID exercise my CCW and carry to the hotel. Love how my G26 disappears beneath a t-shirt

A rather uneventful weekend for myself just doing the usual, saved a burning bus full of orphans, thwarted an NBC attack and single handedly stopped the destruction of the countries in the Tiera del Feugo....then I demo'd my bathroom and laid about half the floor.

Dinner and relaxing with the one you love...sounds like a GREAT day. Thats what life is all about!

Lazed around the house on Saturday.
Mowed the grass Sunday.
Went to Olive Garden with the family that evening.

WoooooHoooooo! I'm a wild man, I know.

Best post EVER!

Im still laughing at "tierra del Fuego". Very nice touch!

Not as exciting as jumping but still a lot of fun. Saturday morning I was in a blind with my 14 year old. We were watching a tom strut, gobble and fan his tail. We didn't get him in range but between him and the deer passing through we had a great time.

Saturday I thought about going to the range but since I am in the middle of a Chronic Fatigue Syndrome relapse I decided to have a nap instead, besides I only have .22 and 7.62x54R to burn.
