But this one's much more interesting boys and girls. So here are the choices:

Glock 20
Glock 36
Walther P99

Yeah, these are pretty much apples, oranges and a pear, but I am allowed only one pistola for xmas. I already have several 45's, but no 9's and nothing in 10mm. I don't currently own any glocks or any compact pistols for that matter. Since I plan on returning to my home state on CA eventually, mag capacity isn't going to be a huge factor.

I have shot the walther and was very impressed with its accuracy despite its interesting trigger. I feel compelled to own at least one 10mm due to its amazing performance. I am and will always be a 45 guy and I like ankle carry.

All of that said I have two questions. How much different is the G36 grip compared to the G21. Also, do any other mags besides the 6 round fit the G36, such as something with an extension and higher capacity.

Which version of the P99 did you look at -- the QA or the AS trigger? I have a P99 9mm with the AS trigger and I love it. To be honest, I really don't notice the difference in travel between the first three shots - except when I'm dry firing. I think the whole "anti-stress" thing is a bit overrated.

I can't help you with the Glocks...I have a 17 and a 21. Small things like the G36 just don't fit my hand.

Of your choices:

1. I have not shot the 20 so no real opinion
2. I had a Glock 36 once...SOLD IT! I don't like big bore guns w/ that small a grip.
3. I'd go w/ the Walther especially if it's 9mm!

Never liked the 36, the double stacks fit my hand better.
Never shot a 10mm.
I have shot and liked a p99.
Id go with the 9mm for its fun and cheap to shoot.

Hmmmm, decisions, decisions. I've never handled let alone fired a G20 or G36, but I have a G19C and love it. At one time I owned a P99 and thought it was a great firing weapon (although the trigger took a little getting use to). In the long run I'd go with the P99. Great weapon, plenty of bells and whistles (you gotta love those of Christmas morning) and besides...that's what James Bond carries. :D

Get the Walther.

Ive been looking for one in 9mm, not one of the fugly newer ones but the older models. The problem is that most that I see are either DAO, .40 or in that military green. Are there any places that have a regular blued walther in da/sa in 9mm for a good price?
