I would like to load Nosler 62gr. Varmageddons with Win 748. This is because I have a few pounds of it, and also because it is what I have been using to load club match ammo with other bullets. The problem is that Nosler does not show any W748 in their load data. I emailed them and they just said we don't have any data for it, short and to the point.

Now, they also make a 55gr. Varmageddon bullet, and the load data does include W748 powder in the list. There are also some other powders that are used for both bullets. Is it possible to do some kind of extrapolation to develop a W748 starting load? Or, as mentioned in another post on substitute powders, should it just be avoided?

Based on what I see different between the two weights, I would think it might be possible to drop the starting charge weight a couple of grains and work up. But, maybe I'm way off! I am here to learn, so please educate me on this.

As always, great advice here and thanks in advance!

Thanks, I forgot to look at their site. The start/max weights fit with what I would guess extrapolation would provide for results.
