Yikes!! I made a mistake!!!

i filed an eForm 1 and was approved. but i just noticed i transposed 2 numbers of the original serial number on the Form 1

ie the last two digits should br 79 but on the form its 97.

what do i do?

Call them and tell them what happened. It's not whiskey- it won't get better with age.

The ATF is a paper work driven organization. You have to keep your paperwork accurate and up to date. Call them, or their E customer support, and inform them about the error. I am certain you are not the only one who has had to correct a serial number.

Whichever corrective route you decide, probably best to also have it in writing to them. Email would probably be fine as long as you have a good address. Good luck.
