Just send 'em to me and you won't feel so bad about buying them ;)

Enjoy owning and shooting them

Yepper sonny,we old farts who way back in them good old olden days loved shooting revolvers and we still do to this day. Way better than them dang burned up fad off semi-auto junkies pistols. REVOLVERS FROM THE U.S.A. ARE THE ONES TO HAVE.

You've made a very smart investment .... Ya, that's the ticket!

That's what you tell her.

I hope you have better luck than me.
I'm divorced & living in WI & she's in Prescott, AZ.

The desire for classy wheelguns may impose impulsive expenditures you can't really afford, but it is in no way irrational. They're beautiful, functional, and elegant! Who *wouldn't* want one or two dozen of them? :D

Great-looking guns.

But I disagree that your desire to have them was irrational. One needs the ability to defend one's family, and a shotgun can be unwieldy for that purpose. They are also hard to lock up in a manner that they would be easy to unlock in case of need.

Two of them? Still not irrational. You need one with a short enough barrel to carry, and you need one with a long enough barrel to be nice and accurate at the range.

I've got something like 10 or 12 guns, and they were all quite rational purchases. It all boils down to your definition of the word "need." If you only buy guns for which you have an immediate need, you're taking a risk that you won't have one when you DO need one. Examples of this type of gun would be a shotgun for the farm, or a handgun for a cop. Maybe a rifle for a rancher or farmer with varmint problems.

The rest of us, we are just trying to be prepared. ;)
