Now that I have your attention, I recently found a valkyrie arms M3A1 semi automatic Grease gun on their website listed for $950. Since when was a stamped gun that cost prob $30 in parts to make worth selling for 950 in semi auto? Does anyone here have any experience with one of these? Is it worth the price. Im a big WWII buff, but have trouble justify paying almost a grand for a semi auto version of the cheap mass produced gun.

They cost about $6 back in the day. Get 'em while they're still under a grand. Though, i assume it's the long-barreled "civvie" version?

Garand, the problem is in the cost of legally turning a gun that fires from an open bolt into a semi auto that fires from a closed bolt, prototypes (sometimes many) have to be produced, then evaluated by the BATF then ya gotta redesign and retool to make the changes the BATF wants then resubmit......... its a royal pain for a manufacturer to get an approved design before they can release even one sample to the public for sale...... the costs gotta get paid by someone usually its passed right on to the end consumer...

Ya'll don't even wanna know what its costin to make the semi auto PPSHs Military gun supply is about to finally get to start shipping..... lets just say those who Pre-ordered got a hell of a bargain as actual production went way over what was originally projected

Man had we not had the .gov pulling the "some animals are more equal than others" on us since 1934, 68, 86, we could have $150 stamped receiver buzz guns (adjusted for inflation) on par with the M3's, Stens, etc. It makes a tear roll down the cheek of the roadside indian as much as littering!

I can't see (until I win the lottery) paying $15k-$20k for a real M3 that cost 1000 times less to produce (literally!) since it's basically a cheap, stamped gun that were turned out en masse to fill a need. Crank the machines back up! I work for GM, maybe I could get an employee discount :D

Is it still a cheap, stamped gun? I guess you have to ask how much it's worth to you. You could have a nice AR for that kind of dough. To be honest I've always loved the grease guns and thompsons myself but I can't bring myself to pay $1000 for a neutered, civilian legal, semi-auto repro of what the .gov used to get for the price of a night at the movies in current dollars.

Its on if you like the old stuff thats high but an AR isn't much cheaper you dont see many of them out there . id go with it resale in a few years will double and they are fun to shoot
