YouTube Video: You Can't Ban Evil
(Sorry, I don't see how to embed the video)

This young lady speaks to the basic reason for our right to bear arms in such a calm and deliberate way. I wish some anti-gun folk in America would take the time to listen to her.

Very well put. As stated in other threads, exercising Freedom implies the requirement of Self-control by citizens, not Govt-control of its citizens.

Why face book? The only people who will watch it will be your FB friends... that you already have. Unless they repost it to THIER friends it won't go viral... Sorry.

I watched it and didn't find it very impressive. There are many more people out there with much better presentations that should be represented but hey, that's just me talking..

Her video will not go viral sorry.

Not everyone on my FB friend list is a friend.
There are family members of the anti-gun persuasion on there too. Some of my friends and family will repost it...especially the younger ones that are pro-gun. They may not relate to an older guy, but they'll give a listen to someone they think can relate to their generation.
I'm not out to make anything viral...just to influence and educate where I can.
It's about opening minds.

You do realize that's what it means to go viral right. People share things on their pages or twitter feeds, some of their friends see it and then reshare, and then so forth and so forth.

Until you have enough posters for it to be a viral hit. While its a nice thought, her presentation leaves a lot to be desired.
Part of a video going viral is that it is unique. That it has an interesting angle that catches the minds of its viewers.
This video has none of that. It won't be going viral in our life time, sorry!

The video has significant punch for two reasons...

it's logically sound .... and there's still a few people out there with the capcity to think

and ....

she's a minority woman (while "everyone knows" white men are opressive monsters responsible for all the world's ills)

so that makes her opinion mean more.

Must have missed the "color" issue as I never viewed it as such. It didn't faze me when she said either. You are either eloquent or you are not, she is not.
Her color absolutely does not make her point any more valid. That is baseless crap!

Since when has logic EVER entered the gun control philosophy?

I respectfully disagree with David White.

This short, 3 minute video is effective BECAUSE it is put simply, plainly, and in language you would hear talking to someone over coffee, and not in language you would hear in a university philosophy class.

You are more than able to respectfully disagree with me as I do with you.

Ain't going viral. Once again I am sorry for that stance on the video but in a world of instant gratification, she just don't have what it takes.
And it's politically incorrect for this time frame.
Especially after that horrible shooting in Connecticut. Her message will be lost as others scream for gun control, she is but a whisper in the wind..

David White -

If you don't like this one, that's fine...everyone doesn't have to like it. But damn dude, share something with the thread besides criticism after criticism. Give out some more stuff that we can use to further the cause.

No personal offense intended but your empty critiques here will be lost like farts in the wind.

hahahah not exactly High Wind err Road but well said

I'm not going to disagree that it's not going viral, though, mainly because I can't say one way or the other.

I don't think we understand enough about what makes videos go viral. I mean...

Someone tell me how numa numa went viral?

Nyan cat?

Gangnam style?

....Really, I don't know. I can't tell what's going to go viral or not.

I posted it as well. I don't care if it goes viral. It is the kind of things young people will pay attention to.

You are correct to call me out. I am sorry for the continued negative posts and you are right that I need to be constructive if I am going to help.
I will be more respectful as well as positive in my posts. Now is not the time for me to be arguing.
