OK everyone, what is your betting gun? I.E., when $5 or a beer is on the line, what is the gun you grab to make the shot? Your old .22? Your custom Remington? Lets see 'em! Here's mine, my first gun, a Henry Golden Boy in .22 LR. Shoots straight as they come!

The one in the middle.:D too much fun and the auto safety makes it a decent trainer too.

Interarms Mini Mark X in .223 rem. 20 inch barrel, bedded, walnut stock, target crown, 3x9x40 Burris Fullfield II. It doesn't miss.

Edit: I'll post pic ASAP.

HANDGUNS12-31-07-0011.jpg I used to make beer money at a range in Orange county betting folks I could hit a 12" gong at 100yds with a 1911. Usually a dollar a round. One fool after loosing a magazine full decided if he bet 5 bucks a round he'd get his money back. He then accused me of "cheating". Not sure how you would go about that, but some folks are just sore loosers.

Not that that range is gone, I can admit that if I held a six o'clock hold on a white rock on the berm behind and above the gong, I hit it pretty regular.

Today though, I probably couldn't see the darned rock at that distance.:(

No, it didn't have the laser, they didn't exist for handguns back then.

This is mine...I've posted it a few times.

DSCF0900.jpg

Remington 700 action, Holland bolt knob, 26" Krieger heavy varmint barrel in .308 with 1:10 twist, Nightforce 5.5-22X50 scope, Shilen trigger at 2 lbs. and an HS Precision stock.

At 100 yards, I can hit anything with it.

I'd pick this one, a slightly modified 10-22. It has a Shooters Ridge barrel from Cabelas and a Hogue stock. Trigger and everything else is stock.

I confess, this is not typical, but impressive none the less. My best 3 shot 100 yard group ever, and from a 5 lb Kimber 308.

For pure consistency from a sporter weight hunting rifle this is my best. This target is very typical. It does this so often it is boring. A FN produced Winchester EW in 308, McMillan Edge stock, Leupold VX-3, 2.5-8X36

My M77 243. It's proven itself to pull off shots I didn't think I was capable of.

I have a Ruger MKII stainless w/10" bull barrel, Williams firesight front and peep rear sights and a removable self-storing bipod...I tell the "I got the most accurate pistol" guys to bring money...

Pic will have to wait, but I won more than a couple bets on best time for 5 hits on a milk jug at 100yds with my Krag against levers, pumps and semis. That was 40 years ago, and I'm not nearly as fast as I once was.

Yesterday i friend bet me icecream that i couldnt put 5 bullets in the. . 5 inch bullseye from 100 yards with my RRA AR15...that was some damn good orange pineapple twist icecream

My 1976 vintage ruger m77 7mm rem mag with an old redfield that has been on the probably that long. Got it for 400 used. First group was 3 shots sub moa. The picture will have to wait for another dau

When something absolutely positively needs killin’. My number one grab is my M-70 in .375H&H. It a stainless gun cut down to 20” fluted in a MacMillian stock and shoots lights out with just about anything you want to feed it.

When something big needs killing my grab is this Searcy PH model in .470NE. She also shoots lights out. The target shown below is an example of what a perfectly regulated double rifle should shoot like. That is two lefts and two rights at 50 yards off of a sand bag rest.
