Arfin, that TNT looks very nice....I might be pushing my $150 budget for it but it looks worth it :)

I'll wait to make a final decision so I have time to look at some others, but that TNT is in top spot for now

4 brands here daily as well:
Mission wallet carry - Case Yellow CV Small Sodbuster & Strider PT
Belt carry - Wylie EDFU in D2 ( yeah made by me )
pocket : Allen Elishewitz Ghost ( it's a workhorse and gets used a lot ! )

If you're happy with the CRKT M21 look at the smaller CRKTs with the same steel.

I have had some problems with the CRKT....
1. It doesn't hold its edge as well as I would like
2. The serration tips have actually broken off :(

And I have had the smaller ones, but the pocket clip on both came loose and would not stay tight.... I guess you could say I'm ready to open a new door in my knife life ;)

I tend to gravitate towards Benchmade. For me they seem to be a good value for an every day knife. I like the Mini Grip myself, or the full size Griptillian if you want something a little larger. In the $125+ range they make a wide variety of very nice knives depending on the blade design and handle that interests you.

The Spyderco Native is a great all-around knife, and I love the Spyderco Manix 2 for the incredible value it is in hard-use folders, but I'd suggest you wait a couple of months and get the Translucent Manix 2 when it comes out. Still stronger than most folders, but almost as light as the Native. :)

Benchmade for me. I just got my new 5805 Barrage to replace my badly chipped Benchmade Mel Pardue auto. Some days, I carry my Benchmade 9500 auto Stryker. I have had really good luck with Benchmade knives. When my Mel Pardue spearpoint tip snapped, it was like losing a friend. I carried that knife pretty much daily for three years or more. I'll wind up reshaping the blade, but in the meantime, I'm diggin the Barrage.

Of my folders, I have more Benchmades than anything else.

I live in Oregon, about 15 minutes from both the Kershaw and the Benchmade factories (as well as Gerber, Leatherman, and others), so I split my every day pocket carry between those 2 brands.

I own over a dozen Kershaws, and only 2 Benchmades, but my EDC knife about 70% of the time is a standard Benchmade Mini Griptilian, partially serrated. It's "just right".

My other Benchmade is a Mini Reflex Auto, and I can't bring myself to carry it around, for fear of losing or scratching it. 90% of all my knives cost me less than $50, so this one stays home.

I recently started carrying a spyderco endura lwt.

I wear dress slacks to work and it being thinner & lighter works well.

Also the longer length keeps it in my pocket better when I'm digging for change - when I carried a shorter folder like a CRKT BULL which I really like it could tend to flip over when I pulled something out of my pocket.

Bear and Son India Stag Stockman It's perfect for everyday carry in my pocket. When I was a teenager my grandfather always preached the benefits of carrying a pocketknife. He had an assortment of them, but this knife reminds me of his old Case stockman.

I love knives and own quite a few, but for the last year or so I have found myself carrying a Northfield Cattle Rancher, made by Great Eastern cutlery. If you search the internet you can get pretty good deals on them. I have found out over the last couple of years that stockman and cattle pattern knive make for the best everyday carry knives,(for me atleast).

I carry a SAK Tinker everyday at work(public school employee) and include a Benchmade Gryptillian or Opinel on the weekends.

Serrated Spyderco Endura.
Carried on my back pocket / off-hand.
I've used it every day for the past 20 years.
(On my third one now, just purchased last month).
Can't say enough about it for a heavy duty folder, would suffice perfectly well for SD in a pinch.

Bill

I alternate between a Kershaw Skyline and Junkyard Dog II Composite, depending on what the day's plans are and what the the pocket weight constraints might be.

i carry this one.
As a tool it does work.
And as a defensive weapon it it very good when closed,
due to weight and size.
And the fact that it is legal here, not being assisted or thumbopened.

Pocket or belt holster.

Makes me smile everytime.

conwict you and I know he aint within the confines of the law doing that but he is and getting away with it. My stepbrother is a carpender and the new cop picked him up on his way home. When the cop stopped him he(the cop) pulled his duty sidearm pressed it to stepbrother's head and frisked him. This all happened cuz of a blown tail light. Stepbrother had a shingle knife in his pocket and the cop took it because and I quote "You cant have this. Its a concealed weapon." This all went down less than 100 yards from the job site where stepbrother was working.

I have a variety of EDC knives that I carry mostly on however I happen to feel that day. Occasionally I will do so with a specific purpose in mind (for example, on Friday I carried my SAK because I had a specific job to do that day and knew it would come in handy), but generally speaking, my daily use is light enough that I don't worry too much about it.

Most frequently, I carry a Spyderco Endura, and second most frequently is any of the five mini-trappers I have or a Spyderco Kiwi. The Kiwi is my newest slip-joint, and the more I carry it, the more I like it.

I rarely carry more than one knife on me, but if I do, I am a little more specific. I usually carry some sort of locking folder (typically my Endura, but I also have a Persistence that I really like) and my SAK. That makes for a combination of pocketknives that's pretty hard to beat short of carrying a multi-tool. Still, I rarely do that.

I also have a variety of Benchmade, Buck, Boker, Victorinox, Fox and various other knives that I rotate around. Part of the fun of the whole "knives as a hobby" thing for me is the fact that I can carry and use so much of my collection!

Yikes, USMCCPL, that's kind of scary. And less than 100 yards from the job site like as though he was waiting for him?

Cold Steel's Ti-Lite is a fine knife as well as CRKT M21. Both are affordable and offer a lot of knife for the money.

I had a CRKT M16 Tanto myself. Pretty solid knife, but I ended up preferring the Kershaw Skyline for its flipper mechanism. I noticed in checking it out, though, that that M21 has G10 on the handle and the flipper becomes more of a true hilt when opened. I like that.

Where is this? If a cop did that here, to me, Texas, I'd have the idiot's job and maybe some of the city's money in a lawsuit. I carry two handguns daily, with a permit of course.

You, or your step brother need to be making some calls to get this idiot off the streets. Start with your state police headquaters, and keep moving up the line to the Department of Justice and state senators. Keep pushing till you bring enough heat on that they fire him. He belongs flipping burgers in the fast food industry.

Carl.
