Howdy, folks.

What gun noises do you like?
I really and truly LOVE the report of an M16A2 outdoors with ear pro.
The sound working the slide on my Romanian TT-33 and my SKS makes me grin from ear to ear.

Your turn.

(putting flame suit on)
From time to time, rarely, people, I will shoot a round
from either the long mosin or my mauser.
It is kind of relaxing, with little residual effect.
I never shoot the m44 earless. That causes inst. deafness for about 15 seconds.
I have shot no more than 3 or four rounds earless with any firearm.

I like the sound of silenced weapons. :) I don't even own any loud guns any more.

I also like the "snik" sound of an HK pistol locking up or unlocking.

A 1911 slide racking – the sound alone has been known to deter intruders.

+1.....Love that sound! Also when your final round is fired and all you hear is the echo of the shot and the cling of the brass on the ground. Which means when you hear that , it's time to load up and do it all over again.:D

Cocking an AK. In sounds so industrial. That and high velocity .22 rounds whizzing downrange.

Working the action on a Remington 870. Pure dead sexy. Oh, yeah.

Unfortunately, every time I rack the slide on one, I drop a loaf in my pants...

The "snap, clickit" sound I get when I drop the slide and decock my P229.

The dimunitive fart of 44 russian out of my 7 1/2" Ruger.

The "thumps" and "tinks" you get from shooting at stuff with a 22 at 100+ yds.

I love...

the rolling thunder that comes across the duck marsh just when (sometimes just before!) shootin' hours begin!

The token "gangsta" at the driving range. You know. Baggy pants. Exposed buttocks. Glock "fohty" held sideways and above their head. They make funny whooping and clicking noises. It's some form of communication I suspect. Haven't been able to decipher it yet though. Still makes me chuckle.

the "Chick chick" of a shotgun is awesome! always makes me grin.

brass from a pistol falling on the ground. always a grin after that and when a pistol slide racks.

of course, the BANG my pistol makes when the trigger is pulled is a big + also!

I love the very specific sound the 1911 makes when you hit the slide release lever and it chambers a round. It is a deeper and slightly muffled sound which I always associate with fun times at the range.

I also love all the sounds of the M1 carbine from the hollow click-clack of loading the box magazine, to the sound of the action being worked to the cracking "pow" sound it gives off when being fired.

+1 on the enbloc!!!
racking the action on a m14/m1a nice solid sound, also when im shooting some long range on the property out in the mountains when its dead quite and you get that single shot echo or hitting that steel plate at 600 yards its pretty rewarding.:D

The sound of all those M-16s cocking in " TAPS". It was beautiful man.

Seriously, I was priveledged to fire the very last round on an M110 A2
Howitzer the Army ever fired. That was a pretty cool gun sound.

And I thorougly enjoyed the sound of the unit armorer putting my M-16A2 in the rack the last time I ever turned it in.

I waited 14 years to hear that sound.

I both love and hate the sound of a full-auto AK being fired. The sound while standing down range or anywhere within the forward 180 degrees. It's a distinct sound. I love that sound because it is unique and easy to identify. I hate it because it means I'm downrange of someone shooting a friggen AKM!!!!
