Stephens Favorite .22.
At age six I inherited this rifle and only shot while being under the watchful eyes of the adults in the family.
In later years , I carried the rifle on my trapline using it one day to kill a very large Canadian goose.

My first gun was a used Marlin Model 70hc that my Dad bought for me at a gun show when I was 12 years old, which was 20 years ago(wow, time sure flies!). Unfortunately, that rifle turned out to be a jam-o-matic. We took it to a gunsmith and he said he couldn't fix it because the receiver was warped He offered us $50 for it to use as a parts gun, which coincedently was exactly what my Dad paid for it at the gun show, so we sold it to the 'smith. We then went straight to a gun shop and put that $50 towards a brand new Ruger 10/22 which I still have.
My first gun was a wedding present from my groomsmen.
A Remington 870...engraved in the receiver is this:
"Mr. & Mrs. watson0625, July 25th, 2005
From the guys...
The closest you'll ever get to a shotgun wedding"
Hands down the best wedding present ever. I will never sell that gun. =)
My first was a .410 with an integral 4+1 shot mag. My parents gave it to me for my 13th birthday. I am 54 now. Gun looks almost new. They bought it at Western Auto. Love that shotgun.
