Yugo SKS Barrel Threads

I have had my YUGO for a few years now and when I first acquired it I made a limited feeble attempt to remove the Grenade Launcher to replace it with a simple muzzle brake. Removed the pin and took a shot at removing it with no luck, recently I thought about it and could not remember the direction I attempted to turn it. So question is how is the tread clockwise or counter ?

It's a normal CW rotation. CCW to remove.

You may need to thermal cycle it a couple times, too. They can be tough.
