the latest Yugos are not built by Century but have been farmed out the quality is much better than the earlier builds.
The safty issue was on a home built Yugo from AKfiles.com
The Yugo as sold by Century is a very good deal for the $$ as we builders can't even begin to compete since we are paying retail for kits etc... Ya are getting basically an underfolding short barreled RPK
They are running a Nodak spuds 1.5 mm fully heat treated reciever that we pay $95 ea for
They are the only ak with integral tritium night sights that fold down outa sight when not needed
They are useing the much heavier RPK front trunion and all the other components are actually for a milled AK
if ya modify the lower rung on the grenade sight it will allow ya to see your iron sights so ya can go super accurate manual operation
Ya are getting a Match grade hammer forged Green mountain barrel (we have to pay $80 ea for and still fit em etc..)
Ya also are getting a G2 FCG
a bottom of the barrel parts set runs $250 these days
and best part its the only AK ya can thread a grenade launcher onto without shearing the front trunion rivets and warping the reciever which means ya can buy onea these
http://www.facsupplystore.com/proddetail.asp?prod=PAAK1012
and then either make your own dummy grenades and arial fireworks etc.. or buy onea these (these are a BLAST to play with!!)

I can nail jack rabits out here in the desert at 100 yards easy with a golf ball using this launcher
here is an old THR thread regarding making dummy grenades for the Yugo SKS same launcher etc..

and another on another forum, ya can also just use tennis balls too

have fun........ and the fun mentioned above can ONLY happen with the much heavier duty Yugo AKs so please folks if ya don't have one don't try usein the launcher on a standard AK it will literally shear off your front trunion rivets and usually warps the thinner 1 mm recievers within only a few shots...... I've repaired a few already its no fun the wider RPK trunion is pocketed into the reciever (the swelled sides) this transfers the shock directly to the reciever without even effecting the rivets on a standard front trunion the sides are flat which puts ALL of the force on the rivets in a shearing fashion it trashes the rivet holes in the reciever when they shear useually requireing a new reciever......
