Wanted a tokerev tt-33. Decided against it, only because I want a thin gun to carry (if I can in a year when I get my ccw)

So I plan on getting a zastava M-88, based on the tokerev, but shoots 9mm para. And has a safety and all that stuff you want on a carry gun, nib $230~ on buds. Pretty cheap.

But I haven't seen mags around for it. And wondered if the 7.62 mags would work, because I have seen those around a lot, for cheap. Might be a worthwhile $10 experiment if I get one.

I know the 7.62 tok round is necked, but is the case about 9mm size?

Thanks for the help, I am now off to buy a different gun entirely, first C&R, a CZ 82. So my lonely 75b SA can have a little brother.... or older brother. (any cheap mags around for these? I know 83 mags will fit, but they seem pricey.)

The 9mm case length is 19mm, the 7.62 is 25mm so 6mm ~ 1/4inch difference. If you wanted to try some cheaper Tok mags you nees to look for Norinco 213 mags. They were made from the ground up for 9mm.

If you want a tok, may I suggest a Polish Wz48 (tokarev) in 7.62x25. Loaded with privi/wolf HP's it would be quite a fight stopper if you had to drop the hammer on a BG.
