zombie hunting mosin..lol

I have found the best way to deal with zombies is to use a team of three, armed with Molotov Cocktails, Shotguns and an AR or AK. The rifle is used by the team leader to pin down the zombies while the second team member lobs the lit Molotov's into the air to be broken like clay pigeons to rain flaming destruction upon the undead hordes. Sometimes we use a fourth team member equipped with a second rifle & backup shotgun as needed. The only time the Mosin has proven useful is in a sniper overwatch role

When fighting the walking dead, remember to wear your safety equipment: closed-toed shoes, long-sleeved shirts to protect from bites, face-shields to protect from splattering fluids, and your fire extinguisher.

Because the only thing worse than zombies is zombies on fire!

***The more you know!***

Goofiness aside, the rifle looks just about useless. Which means it looks fun. :D

i wasn't trying to start a zombie killing thread or anything. i just saw this and laughed. the rifle acually would look ok without that other junk on it. i just thought it was hilarious that he is actually marketing it as a space zombie gun. some people make me wonder...

How many people buy a plain jane AR-15 and trick it out to look like what someone who has never been in combat believes a combat rifle should look like? In the mid 60's the M-16 looked fine. Now, if you are sporting a standard M16A1 look, you must not have the money to make it look like a real battle rifle.

So it's ok to trick out one rifle but not another? I fail to see the logic. I see on gun boards Mil Surp Purists showing off their super tricked out M4forgeries in one thread, and bashing the guy who sporterized a Mil Surp in another. I just don't get it.

USAF Vet

I agree with you, I have an M4gery I carry in my patrol car thats got a railed forend and forward grip. But thats all its got, there are guys I work with who are on the SRT team that have all the cool new gadgets they can cram onto the rails. I think it goes back to the old saying about speed, "Speeds all about money, how fast do you want to go?". Thats and some guys just need something to b!tch about.

"Unique outsider art" LOL

Brilliant marketing. A hacked up Mosin with no front sight and no way to aim it! Bet it sells.

One big difference is the M4gery is not a military firearm at all. It is a cobbled together AR with no original configuration. And unless you're talking about a minty Colt SP1 or similar item with some collector value, altering an AR isn't going to diminish its value and might enhance it.

Also, AR's are inherently modular so what can be done can be undone just as easily in most cases. You can't do much major to a Mosin without getting the hacksaw out.

Besides, if you actually were hunting zombies, you'd want an INTACT Mosin with the full military stock, the bayonet and the steel buttplate for bashin! When the dead rise, give me my M39.

....minus the laser and other tacti-crap.......am i the only one here who kinda likes it?
