Zombie Plans

I did a quick search and found a few zombie stories, but not much in the way of zombie plans. I'm talking the undead roaming the streets, eating peoples brains and turning them into more zombies.
To keep it relevant, what weaponry and gear would you take, where would you go, and why?

My plan, formulated over a beer and a cigar after a gun cleaning party:
My friend and I take our modest arsenal to Key West. Between us (right now) we have 2 SKS's, a Taurus and Hipower both in 9mm, a Mosin, Lee Enfield, Garand, Mossberg 500, Kel-tec P-11, and a 10-22. Not much but we have other friends with plenty more. We raid every walmart we can find on the way and stock up our trucks with non-perishables, survival gear, and ammo. We get to key west, get as many uninfected folks as possible onto the island, then blow the bridge. Key West NAS is there and will likely continue to get supplied by air for a while. We have cut off all land access to the island, an I doubt zombies can operate boats. eventually the zombies die off or get killed and we pretty much have the world to rebuild.

You all are welcome to our zombie paradise, unless someone has a better plan.

What would I do in the event of a zombie attack? Well, I'd get myself and a few of my friends together and we'd get a couple of trucks, lots of water and food (ramen and beef jerky, as well as multivitamins), as many melee and bladed weapons as we could and several firearms (which would include an M14, M1 Carbine, Savage .30 Caliber, Mossberg 12 Gauge, Mosin-Nagant, and several others) then raid Wally-World for ammo and the like and then we'd get in the trucks and prepare for open zombie season! How could you stand by and just wait a zombie infection out? This is like the most exciting thing to ever happen, I'm killing some ****!

You won't find to many because they will get locked. I am open to it though so ill paly while I can.

I would go with my family and friends to my grandparents house out in the mountains of Wyoming. Dig a trench around it with my grandfathers backhoe. Line it with spikes we could make in my grandpas shop. Then eat the sheep that he has on his ranch. (we would bring them in and let them graze in the canyon like he does every no and then) We would then hold down the fort rather comfortably with 9 people that would be able to use a gun (me, my brothers, sister, mom, dad, grandpa, uncle, and aunt. With my two shotguns, my brothers two shotguns, my handgun, my brothers handgun, and between all of us we have plenty of rifles. I could melt down lead and reload bullets so we wouldn't run out anytime soon and we would have a grand time killing those braineaters.

I didn't mean I would wait it out on my arse. We'd have a perfectly good blown bridge from which we would be sniping zombies constantly, from a nice immune distance.

I have no guns, so I'd take all the knives and blunt weapons in the house upstairs, destroy the staircases, be quiet, and hide until evac arrives (which it won't).
