Has anyone ever tried this ammo? Walmart has it for $13. per box. The box states that it's made to Nato specs. with primer sealed in green.

I tried it in my Kel-tech sub-2000

that was malfuctioning with all the 115 grainers I tried through it. This is a known problem that heavier bullets and hotter loads will generally solve. It did not work with the ZQ-1 which is loaded with a 123 grain bullet. I shot some of it in a Glock but it seemed mild compared to other factory ammo that I was If you don't reload you can buy the aluminum cased federal ammo for $9.99 at wally world.

I've shot a bunch of it and I can't tell the difference between it and all the other Walmart fodder.

Recent post about the stuff.

Note that the OP first made the post & then removed all relevant info until he was badgered into re-posting his experience with ZQI.

I wasn't badgered into giving info up, I received permission from ZQI before putting it on a forum. Don't assume anything.

I gave them a chance to answer before going on with my info.

I'm looking at the ZQI box under a bright light looking for any trace of a lot number stamped into the cardboard.

There is not a trace, not a hint of an indentation. Nor is it printed anywhere or stamped in ink.

The is no lot number.

I think I'll reserve the ZQI for use only in my 9mm carbine, and only for use in the Ebolapocalypse, and only after I run out of everything else.

My STI Trojan 9mm jammed terribly on this ammo, the only ammo this gun can't cycle properly. My Gen3 G-17 shoots it fine but there are better ammo selections out there, especially at a Cabelas!

At that price there is much better/more prove/known-quantity ammunition available. You just have to be willing to order it online in case quantity.

$13/50 is $260 + tax for 1,000 rounds.

You can get pretty good (probably better) ammo for $240-$260 per 1,000 shipped online.

For Walmart I'll stick to buying Federal Aluminum case or equivalent for cheap when it's there.
