    Target Rifle

Pick up an old Swedish Mauser Pick up an old Swedish Mauser in 6.5mm. It's an excellent gun and relatively cheap. Ammo is easy to come by and easy to reload. 300 yards is a walk in the park for that rifle. I still see them at gun shows in very good condition for around $250. Molon Labe, Joe :D

The longest AR you'll ever see...

Very Nice I like that. Excellent job. I wish I was there to put a few hundred rounds through it with you. It's definitely a fine gun. Molon Labe, Joe :D

Trying to decide on a Pre-Election Rifle

What I'm Buying I have most of the older military style rifles already in my collection. I think I am going to buy an Alexander Arms Grendel 6.5mm before the commies take over in January. It may run you a little more than $1000 depending on who you get it from but I think it's well worth it...

what is your primary carry gun

Smith & Wesson CS45 Semiauto I've been carrying the Smith & Wesson Chief Special in .45 ACP for several years now. It has been an excellent, reliable gun that is very accurate to 25 yards. Out of approximately 2500 rounds I've had one failure to feed and that was with my own reloaded ammo so I...

m1a and m14's, where to find them??

Any gunshow has M1As, M14 is another story I don't think I've ever been to a gunshow that did not have at least one table with a few M1As on it. You'd best bring your big wallet though. I have yet to see a cheap one or a fixer-upper. They all tend to be pricey and most folks hang onto the...

    Winchester Model 100 question

Thanks for the info folks I appreciate the feedback from all of you. I don't hunt anymore so this gun would be just an addition to my collection and a paper puncher on the 100 and 200 yard range. ;) I think one of you hit the nail on the head though about buying a gun that the seller won't...

Where Could I Find Lee-Enfield Magazines?

Try SOG Try Southern Ohio Guns. They have used, original magazines for Enfields that are in good shape. They don't advertise them because they don't keep a lot of them in stock. :scrutiny: I tried some cheap ass ProMag reproduction magazines in my Enfields and had nothing but trouble. They...

    Winchester Model 100 question

I am somewhat of a fanatic when it comes to collecting Winchester rifles made before 1964. I am currently looking at a couple of Winchester Model 100s. These were both made in 1961 according to their serial numbers. I have a couple of Model 88s in .308 and they are in my opinion great guns...

    The forgotten American Enfield

I like that rifle The 1917 Enfield is on the top of my list for my next gun. I think they are great rifles. I'm just waiting to find one in decent shape and decent working order. :scrutiny: I've seen a few at gunshows but they are way overpriced and in very poor shape. The last one I saw...

    A Matter of Values

It's A Fairly Easy Call For Me I would never shoot a person over property. If that person was unarmed I would attempt to hold them at gun point and call 911. If they ran away from me, I'd let them go. I have enough insurance to replace my house, cars and everything in them more than once as far...

    Anti from somewhere least expected...

If he was my brother If one of my brothers acted in such a way, I stomp the living crap out of him. Before I did that though, I'd try to reason with him. :uhoh: You said he suffers from ADHD. Maybe he needs a visit to the local psych ward and a little quiet time in the rubber room. I'm not...

    Griz Attacks Girl Biker

The same could be said for some humans  I think the bear probably thinks the same about humans that post garbage like the above. It is after all humans that are taking away the bears habitat, not the other way around. :scrutiny: Humans that think exterminating any non-human...

    1911 or Luger?

Buy the Luger if he'll come down on price I don't know where you are at but a shooter Luger (parts gun) around these parts runs about $600 at the gun shows. :scrutiny: It also depends on if you want a "real" 1911 from back in the day or a modern one. I have a nice P08 Luger from the WWI...

    .308 AR vs. M-14

Almost forgot I'll take an M14 / M1A over an AR anything. ;) Molon Labe, Joe :D

    .308 AR vs. M-14

I'm with MTMilitiaman on this one I completely agree with everything MTMilitiaman said in his post on this thread. There's not really much to add to that. He and his family will be the survivors along with me and mine. The rest of you carry them little popgun pistols and poodle shooter rifles...

Lady New to Rifles Looking for Some Rifles 101 Information

Rent some and shoot them My suggestion would be to go to every range within what you consider driving distance of your home and rent every .22 rifle they have (one at a time of course) and put 100 rounds down range with each rifle. .22 ammo is very cheap and most ranges will even let you bring...

GSG-5 Problems - The Fiasco Continues

Doesn't sound too good I'm glad I didn't buy one. This company has cash flow problems so their answer is to screw the customer? Sound like a self-fulfilling prophecy to me. I would count on them being around too much longer. It's sad. I hate to see any honest, law abiding company go...

Where can I get a titanium firing pin?

Thanks folks I never thought about the popped primer and fused titanium firing pin. Thanks for bringing that up. I think I'll try the flattening of the firing pin and see if that helps. If not maybe I'll take a few thousandths off the firing pin or try to get a return spring...

Anybody Ever Been Kicked By a Mule?

Try Any of these Any rifle that shoots a .458 Lott or .600 Nitro will get the job done for you. I highly recommend that you wear a darn good shoulder pad and make sure nobody is standing behind you when you touch one of these off. Also, please be wary of that scope tearing your eyebrow...

Have you ever used your gun for SD and how many bullets did you use?

Yes, once 25 years ago 2 rounds fired One less scumbag on the earth My 10 year old daughter safe and sound (now 35 years old) I'm not proud of it. I had no other choice. I was not charged with anything. Molon Labe, Joe :o
