A funny thing happened on the way to the car show!!!
SWMBO's into car shows; has a 2000 Mustang she shows and does well with (long story here). Anyway, big local show this weekend so we load up and stop for breakfast. I wanted to stop at local gunshop on the way. "Sure, we've got time."
I'm looking around for a .22 rifle, probably a 10-22 and a SHTF rifle, still trying to decide. I knew they had a Bulgie Mak and had just acquired a collection of P-38's. (Mak's and SHTF rifle's NOT plentiful here.)
She's been talking a Glock sub-compact 9mm to replace her SP-101. Only Glock she like's, lighter than 1911 which she also likes. Anyway, she's browsing and says "I wanna see that one, look how thin the grip is!" It's an East German Mak with no importer's marks; $229. Not a bad price here. Short version: it's on layway. Been looking at a Mak myself, for when the G-19's too big. Sold an EG a couple years ago and have kicked myself ever since!!
