Carrying Speed Strips

A little belt wallet built for the task. I have 2x the 12 round nylon dealios and 1x leather 6 round capacity. The latter is my preference.

How well does a speed strip work loading a single action?

Not very. The first round on the end of the strip is okay but after that the little "tunnel" the loading gate creates makes it impossible to seat the round and peel the strip off as you would normally do and, of course you are limited to loading only one round at a time. I found it faster to load loose rounds.

It's more of a 'keeping ten rounds organized and quickly accessible ' than a 'speedloading' thing.

I often buy .22s in bulk containers. The speed strips help me carry and keep track of inventory when I go plinking.
Speed strips dont fit in the loading gate of a s/a.....but they actually work really well with tube magazines. Pinch off three or four rounds at a time and push them through the slot into the tube.
Keeping the ammo organized and oriented in the right direction helps with any mag fed guns.

If looking for very functional Speedloaders other than strips this site might be worth everyone's while. Revision CV ships quickly Iand the loaders are very very economical. I have more than a dozen of these for my 357's and have a few for my NAA Pug. Pictures show loading clearance in a J-frame and process of filling the loaders.

This was also a good article and mostly up to date from Revolver Guy. He does make mention of Revision CV.

I used to carry two in a shoulder rig. It was a "Miami Classic" with the speed-strip holder that hung opposite my Model 19 2 1/2" .357.

Now that I'm pretty much "all auto, all the time" I haven't used speed strips in ages.

Stay safe.

I was using a old Cell phone holder that they would fit perfect in. (2). It has a magnetic flap, or can have a belt pass through, or simply use the metal/ leather clip it came with. Or just put them in my pocket. Lately I have been using these
$10.00 for 2 Zeta Products 6 shot as well. Also speed strips

I took a 9mm moon clip carrier and they work, but just in the pocket works as well, In fact are actually very snug with by themselves.
