The 3" comped S&W 632 was recently sold at near closeout price (<$500) from a distributor who also had deals on the CA .327 Patriots - even including a knife. It didn't bode well for the round. Also, S&W had been promising the 632 Pro, a hammerless 2 1/8" .327, for over 1.5 years. But - it hit the shelves finally in September - and I got one. Quickly tried for the Patriot - all gone. My view is that it won't be around as long as the .32 H&RM was. Sad, too. Some years ago, a familiar mail order source for 'good prices' had hundreds of 3" .32 H&RM SP101's listed - then zero-ed. Several months later, Ruger introduced the then new '.327 Federal Magnum' in a 3" SP101. Hmmm, re-ream the chambers a bit deeper and restrike the caliber markings, voila, .327 Federal Magnum SP101. I really wonder if it was really thought through... or what I was thinking when I spent nearly $700 on that little one!!
