"Why do you have more than one in the same caliber? "

There aren't but so many calibers, not counting wildcats, and I like .22 LR and .357/.38. And .45 and 9 mm. And 12 ga.

I only have one .17 HMR, one .22 WMR (although I suppose the Single-Six Conv. makes two), one .32 ACP and one 28 ga.

John

Off the top of my head I count 18 in 22 LR, 12 in 38 Special and 11 in 357 Magnum. Most of the calibers I shoot are represented by multiple guns in the safes.

I have 6 or 7 calibers with a single gun represented.

I own many .22's, 4 different 7.62x39's, 4 .223's, a couple of 7.62x54r's, and a couple of 6.5x55mm's, as well as a couple of .357's and a couple of .45acp's, and I am currently in the market for a new 9mm.

I like guns

I have a few guns that are the same caliber.
2- 12ga. shotguns
2- 20ga. shotguns
2- 22 cal. revolvers
2- 22 cal. semi-autos pistols
3- bolt actions 22 cal. rifles
1- lever action 22 cal. rifles
2- 22 cal. semi-auto rifles
2- .357s revolers

I was gonna check two..

Then four and finally I checked six. This does'n t mean six of the same caliber, but instead three pairs of matched calibers, ie: .22 pistol & rifle, .44 pistol & rifle, more than 2 .12Ga shotties puts me in the multiple multiples bracket. If that's different than 15 .22's, so be it.:D

I have more than 5 .22 handguns, more than 5 .22 rifles, 5 .38 revolvers, more than 5 .45ACP pistols, and more than 5 .45 Colt revolvers.

That doesn't make me a bad person does it?

Well, I carry a Glock 23 for a duty weapon. I wanted to go to VA for a meet-and-great with other firearms instructors. My PD wouldn't let me take my duty weapon with me. So I bought my own. I use a G27 as a CCW/off-duty carry. Then, I started shooting some ad-hoc comp courses and bought a G35. So three pistols in the same family.

I own a AR-15. One is never enough. I have two and am thinking of building a third.

.22cal- I now am the proud owner of three different guns in that caliber. I'll likely be buying a fourth.

Acquiring guns never stops. Rightfully so- it never should stop. ;)

I have 3 .45 ACP.
Para Ordnance P14 and P10. (The extremes of their lineup not too long ago. Both single-action 1911's.)
The Colt Officers Model is an in-between size.
Yeah, guess you could say I'm partial to the big, fat and slow ones.

Also have 2 S&W 586, one in 6-in and one 4-in barrels. IDPA doesn't consider the 6-in .357 a "concealed carry" gun. Well heck, I say. Get a bigger coat! :)

For once I can say 1 caliber, each, starting at 32,38,9mm,40,45.Having just swapped a couple out. Now every gun was bought new by me, I want to get another 1911, and that will be it. Unless I see something else, lol

Not only do I have more than one gun in one caliber, I've got more than one caliber in one gun. :)
