I have never personally shot my .45 that way.
Though once at the range, I let a friend of mine shoot off a magazine while I shot a rifle. He was standing to the right of me on the shooting line. I started noticing that .45 brass was flying in front of me, which I thought was odd since we were the only two at the range and my .45 kicks brass out to the right and back. I look to my right and see he is shooting my gun gangsta style. I actually felt as if my gun had been violated somehow...
