Maveric- New Barrel?

Does any one know where i could find a new 28 or 30 inch barrel for my maveric 88? the 18.5 inch just doesnt work for trap. and about how much would a new barel be?

Isn't the Maveric 88 a lower cost version of the Mossberg 500.

The Maverick looks like a hybrid cross with a Mossberg barrel and an 870 bolt,I believe the 500 Mossberg barrel fits it.

yes, the maveric is a cheap 500, i think it even takes 500 barrels, i just need to know where to find them

ebay.com type mossberg 500 barrel in the search box. You'll get `~40 hits. Also, many gun shops have some in used barrel bins as well.

On the same subject, I have a mavaric 88 with a 28inch barrel; and was wondering if it would accept a 24 inch rifled barrel made for the 500.

Mossberg 500 & Maverick 88 barrels are interchangeable within guage and magazine capacity.

6-shot barrel will not fit on an 8-shot model, and reverse is also true...8-shot barrel does not fit a 6-shot gun.

My Maverick 88 came with a 28" barrel, but for HomeLand Security purposes, it wears a Mossberg branded 18-1/2" cylinder bore barrel.

You also buy barrels, etc direct from Mossberg.
