I recently ordered an 18.5" accessory barrel for a Mossberg 500 (security #90015) I took it out of the package and put it on the gun and noticed that it didn't say Mossberg on the barrel and also noticed that the bluing was rubbed off during shipping and storage in several spots, but no problem there as i expect cheap parts with not much QC for cheap guns.

The problem is that when i took the barrel back off to clean it i noticed the address on the barrel was Eagle pass, Texas and not North Haven. I then inspected the packaging closely and on the bottom of the package was a little white sticker that said "Manufactured in Mexico using American steel"!!! I thought i was buying something produced with American labor! I think Mossberg should at least let a customer know which barrels are American made.

Welcome to NAFTA! It IS American-made, specifically North American Made...

Barrels have been sourced all over the world for some time. Turkey is a major supplier.

Best we can do is support American-based companies. Many of those are now foreign-owned.

American consumers are so driven by price that it's nearly impossible to survive producing quality.
